Teeth Straightening in Portslade
Teeth straightening is one of our most popular treatments at our dental clinic. We offer two types of teeth straightening; using traditional braces (Cfast) and invisible, removable aligners in our Smilelign treatment.
Smilelign
Are a type of braces – specifically aligners – that are invisible and removable. Unlike traditional metal mixed braces, the Smilelign process works by taking a mould of your teeth (top and bottom, or the other depending on your requirements). From here, the aligners are created and placed onto your teeth, gently shifting and repositioning your teeth into their new formation. You will need to wear them all day and night, only removing them for eating. The aligners will also need to be cleaned regularly.
Fixed Braces (Cfast)
Our Cfast braces are designed to follow the same straightening principle as metal, fixed braces. They are excellent at achieving a straight smile, more so than plastic aligners. However, they are not removable and regular cleaning will be required in order to ensure no food or debris is left to damage the braces. Cfast features clear brackets, so while they are visible, theyāre more subtle than standard metal braces.
Teeth Whitening in Portslade
Teeth whitening is one of the most popular cosmetic dentistry treatments available at our dental clinic. We use two treatments, ultraviolet light and gel-bleaching.
Our ultraviolet light treatment takes place at our dental surgery and is a completely painless and fast teeth whitening solution. A light is shone directly onto your teeth, avoiding the gums, and whitens your teeth using ultraviolet rays. This is an immediate tooth whitening treatment that takes up to one hour.
Gel-based whitening involves us taking a mould of your teeth and then applying a gel formula onto your teeth. You will take the gel home and apply it as instructed by Dr Mantazis, anywhere from 2 – 4 weeks is expected for best whitening results.
