Jenny is a calm and caring Dental Hygienist with a passion for preventive dentistry and helping patients take an active role in looking after their oral health. She has a particular interest in the prevention and management of periodontal (gum) disease and enjoys supporting patients in achieving healthier teeth and gums that they can maintain over the long term.
Before qualifying as a Dental Hygienist, Jenny worked as a Dental Nurse, giving her a strong foundation in dentistry and patient care. She also has a background in teaching, which has shaped her approachable communication style and passion for helping patients better understand their oral health.
Jenny works at our Portland Road clinic in Hove and speaks English, Bulgarian, and Russian.

Jenny’s main clinical interest is periodontal health. She enjoys helping patients understand their gum health, the factors that can affect it, and the practical steps they can take to look after their teeth and gums between appointments. Where patients require periodontal treatment, she focuses on both managing their current gum health and giving them the knowledge and support they need to maintain their results over the long term.
She also works closely with the clinic’s dentists, helping to provide coordinated care based on individual dental health needs.
Jenny believes that every patient should feel listened to, respected, and comfortable when receiving dental care. Her calm and reassuring manner is particularly valuable when caring for nervous or anxious patients. She understands that some people may find hygiene appointments daunting, so she takes the time to listen to concerns, answer questions, and explain treatment clearly before and during an appointment.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Jenny adapts her care to the individual. She enjoys treating patients of all ages, including those who may require additional reassurance or support, and aims to create a relaxed environment where patients can feel comfortable discussing their dental health.
Education is also central to Jenny’s approach. Drawing on her previous teaching experience, she aims to make oral health advice clear, practical, and relevant to each patient, helping them feel more confident about caring for their teeth and gums at home.

Alongside her clinical work, Jenny has contributed to research within dental education. She co-authored the peer-reviewed article “Perceptions of Social Media Use Among Dental Hygiene and Dental Hygiene Therapy Students and Their Relative Applicability in Dental Education”
published in The Open Dentistry Journal in 2025.
Her continued interest in education, prevention, and periodontal health complements her overall approach to patient care: helping people understand their oral health and feel supported in making positive, sustainable changes.
